Proman A global leader in natural gas derived products

COVID-19 CEO Statement

There is no part of the world that has been unaffected by COVID-19. Managing the impact of this outbreak is a global effort, and a global challenge. At Proman, we have been monitoring the situation since the start of the year, and have put in place a range of measures to protect the health and safety of our employees, and led business contingency planning to ensure we can safely continue our core business activity.

I have been incredibly impressed by the skill and commitment of our teams around the world, who have been working around the clock to keep our people safe and healthy. Across all our areas of operation and locations we have seen the resilience and flexibility to adapt to new ways of working which makes Proman special.

Like many other businesses worldwide, we have implemented remote working arrangements, applicable to all team members across our business support services. Our plant operations in Trinidad and Tobago and the US are fundamental to what we do, therefore we have invested a huge amount of time in planning how best to protect them in the face of this global health emergency.

  • We have put in place additional support measures to increase the safety of our essential plant-based operating staff, including restricted plant access, robust additional gate protocols and medical screenings, pre-mobilization checks, and rostered rotation of key personnel.
  • Prior to the extensive closure of national borders, all Proman business travel was restricted, and personal travel strongly discouraged; returning travelers were subject to additional checks and precautions, including mandatory self-isolation.
  • We have moved to encampment in Trinidad & Tobago and at our Pampa Fuels site in the USA, reducing the risk of business interruption, as well as postponing non-essential plant maintenance work to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff.

Worldwide, we are cooperating closely with the relevant health authorities. Our teams are also exploring what support we can give to national emergency efforts to help those most in need.

Our focus continues to be the health and safety of our staff as well as the continuity of our core business and support for the local communities in which we operate. We are confident that Proman is in a strong position to recover once the crisis is over, and I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all of our staff for their resilience during this challenging time.

Proman’s COVID-19 Community Support:

Since the outbreak of the virus, teams across our areas of operation have been working with local communities to support those worst affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and explore ways to share expertise and continue to support livelihoods. From contributing food hampers for healthcare workers to matching employee donations to local charities and donating tablets to school children, Proman employees have been actively supporting those around us during this time of need.

Huge thanks to all the teams for your hard work and dedication. To find out more about Proman’s COVID-19 Community Support, visit our LinkedIn page.
