Project management
Proman’s history is project management. Since inception, Proman has been responsible for the construction of all of our facilities. Through expansion and acquisition, we have companies in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Trinidad, the United States, Portugal and Mexico which offer the full range of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services necessary for successful project execution. Today, we are able to offer the services necessary for the construction of world-scale facilities in the petrochemical, power, material handling and specialty chemicals sectors.

Operations
Our Trinidad and Tobago based plant management and operations subsidiary, IPSL, provides a range of services to our Group companies, including the operation of all of our production facilities in Trinidad and Tobago. The extensive knowledge and experience developed here has been captured in the development of our operations in Oman and the United States.

Production
Proman moved into the production of gas derived products in 1993 with the construction and start-up of the 500,000 metric ton per year Caribbean Methanol Company (CMC, now known as M2) plant on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate in Trinidad and Tobago. Over the years we have continually reinvested to expand our portfolio to include methanol, anhydrous ammonia, urea ammonium nitrate and melamine. Our plants have a combined annual installed production capacity of more than 10 million metric tons of bulk chemicals.

Marketing and logistics

Our global supply chain logistics are managed by Proman Shipping AG based in Switzerland. Proman Shipping AG offers safe, reliable and efficient marine transportation services to petrochemical customers both internal and external to Proman, with trading routes in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Proman Shipping AG focuses on providing a high-quality service to its customers.
Our products are distributed through two major marketing and distribution companies. Our joint venture Helm Proman Methanol AG markets methanol worldwide through its 3 marketing centers in Europe, Asia and Southern Chemical Corporation (SCC) in the United States. SCC is also responsible for melamine sales in the Americas and for managing the logistics associated with an extensive network of methanol storage facilities along the coasts of the United States, Canada and Brazil. Helm AG coordinates melamine sales in Europe and UAN sales globally.

Project Development
Proman’s global expertise in project development combines our vast experience in engineering and design, operations, and marketing and logistics, with our proven skill set spanning all aspects of the development process. We fund and develop projects in the petrochemical and energy industry, including petrochemical plants, natural gas upstream projects, and thermal power generation plants.
Our project development team has decades of experience in securing environmental permits in various jurisdictions, arranging critical commercial contracts to support each project, and raising asset-level financing including commercial loans, export-credit agency financing and debt capital markets.
Due to Proman’s broad capabilities across the value chain we are able to add value to every project we participate in. We have a proven track record in both greenfield site development and the acquisition of projects at various stages of execution.
