Joint mass vaccine initiative between Proman, Ministry of Health, Tricare and SOMA draws to a close, having administered doses to over 3% of the population

Over the last eight weeks, Proman Trinidad, as part of the National Private Sector COVID-19 Vaccination Drive, has proudly supported the Ministry of Health to deliver over 46,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, representing approximately 3.4% of the overall Trinidad and Tobago population.

Supporting Trinidad and Tobago’s pandemic response, and alongside industry and services partners and the Ministry of Health, Proman established a Drive-thru facility and a Walk-in clinic to administer vaccines to the public at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva. This site became operational on 19th July, 2021.

Claus Cronberger, Managing Director, Proman Trinidad, said: “We are immensely proud of what our teams have achieved, far surpassing the targets that were initially set and leading from the front to deliver a seamless vaccination experience. Support for our local communities is a core value for Proman, and on behalf of Proman’s leadership I extend my thanks to the volunteers from across our family of companies who made this initiative such a success.”

The Honourable Terrence Deyalsingh, Minister of Health, said: “The Ministry of Health is pleased to have partnered with Proman Trinidad in this vaccination campaign. The ongoing direct participation of the private sector in the COVID-19 vaccination drive contributes to the national thrust to get ‘vaccines into arms’. As the vaccination campaign continues, the Ministry looks forward to continued collaboration between the public and private sectors as we Vaccinate Trinidad and Tobago.”

The Mass Vaccination Initiative has transitioned to a new phase on 1st September, supported by the Point Lisas Energy Association (PLEA) and Proman. The 3-week extension will run until the 17th September 2021 as a Walk-in only clinic, administering the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine on the 1st level of the Ato Boldon Stadium. The clinic will operate from Monday – Friday weekly, 8:00am – 3:30pm.
